The 2024 Agbeyewa Cup football tournament culminated in an exhilarating final match where Omuo-Oke High School from Omuo Ekiti faced off against Government College, Ado Ekiti. Following the tense battle, Ifaki Grammar School secured the third position, winning the bronze medal in the accompanying play-off. The winners of the Agbeyewa Cup were rewarded for their efforts with a significant prize of N1.1 million, along with gold medals and a prestigious trophy. The runner-up, Government College, Ado Ekiti, received N500,000 in addition to silver medals, while Ifaki Grammar School, who finished third, took home N250,000 in cash and bronze medals. Alhaji Dauda Lawal, the Community Communication Manager at Cavista Holdings, spoke passionately about the tournament’s purpose following its conclusion. The Agbeyewa Cup tournament, which mirrored the legacy of the defunct Principals Cup, began with a remarkable participation of over 150 schools from across Ekiti State.
