The Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited has proudly launched the third iteration of the Osagyefo Made in Ghana Fair, a vibrant showcase of the nation’s entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and creative prowess. Held from September 19th to 21st, 2025, at the historic Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park in Accra, the fair serves as a powerful platform for promoting locally produced goods and services. Themed “Economic Independence and National Pride,” the event connects the legacy of Ghana’s founding father with the current administration’s vision for economic revitalization.

Naa Amerley Bamba, CEO of the Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited, delivered a compelling keynote address, emphasizing the crucial link between economic independence and political sovereignty, echoing the wisdom of Dr. Kwame Nkrumah. She highlighted the fair as a tangible embodiment of this vision, where each locally manufactured product contributes to the nation’s economic self-reliance. The event serves as a crucial step towards realizing this ambition, providing a space for Ghanaian businesses to flourish and contribute to national development.

Bamba positioned the fair within the context of President John Dramani Mahama’s Reset Agenda, a comprehensive plan aimed at rebuilding Ghana’s economy through innovation, inclusive growth, and robust entrepreneurship. This alignment underscores the continuity between the ideals of the nation’s founder and the contemporary economic strategies aimed at achieving a self-reliant and prosperous Ghana. The fair, she asserted, represents a convergence of past and present, merging Nkrumah’s foundational principles with the urgency of Mahama’s vision for a revitalized Ghana.

The CEO extended her heartfelt appreciation to the participating exhibitors, acknowledging their pivotal role in driving economic growth and showcasing Ghana’s potential to the world. She recognized them as the driving force behind the Made in Ghana initiative, highlighting their contribution not only to the economy but also to the nation’s image on the global stage. Their participation, she emphasized, is a testament to their resilience, ingenuity, and commitment to national development.

Bamba also elaborated on the strategic advantages of participating in the fair, citing increased visibility, access to both domestic and international markets, and valuable networking opportunities that can forge lasting partnerships. The fair provides a unique platform for businesses to expand their reach, connect with potential investors, and forge collaborations that can propel their growth and contribute to the overall economic development of Ghana. This strategic positioning of the fair underscores its importance as a catalyst for economic growth and development.

In a powerful call to action, Bamba urged Ghanaians to actively support local businesses, emphasizing that every purchase made at the fair represents an investment in Ghana’s future and a vote of confidence in its people. She urged citizens to become ambassadors for Made-in-Ghana products, promoting local businesses and fostering a sense of national pride in homegrown goods and services. This collective effort, she stressed, is essential for building a self-reliant and prosperous nation. The Osagyefo Made in Ghana Fair, therefore, stands as a symbol of national unity and economic empowerment, reflecting the shared aspirations of a nation striving for progress and prosperity.
