Held at the KNUST Business School in Kumasi, the event brought together 43 teams of young Ghanaian entrepreneurs who pitched their groundbreaking agritech and food innovation solutions to a panel of judges. These innovative ideas ranged from tech-driven tools for enhanced farming practices to sustainable initiatives focused on improving food security and market access. The event highlighted the immense potential of Ghana’s youth to drive transformative change within a sector crucial to the nation’s economic growth and prosperity.
The AgriTech Challenge Pro provided a platform for these aspiring entrepreneurs to not only present their carefully crafted business plans but also to receive invaluable feedback from industry experts. The 2025 AgriTech Challenge Pro culminated in the awarding of seed funding to several promising ventures. PureLube, recognized for its innovative solution, secured the top prize of $25,000, while Ecobroma received $20,000. A further eleven startups, including Zenags Organics, Mushplus Agri-Foods, MelDakAgro, AgriEase, Fibrelux, Tomavi Wines, CongamStainless Charcoal, Danny Machinery, EcoLeap, BioSpace Gh, and Earth-Allies, each received $10,000 to further develop their ventures. An additional nine startups – Peanut Pride, Millbles, BIAQ Golden Cycle, Soyko Agro Foods, GardPath Technologies, Peli Natural Glow, MilkyWorld, Growth Line Farm-Tech, and Premium Biofert – were each awarded $5,000. This distribution of funding highlights the diverse range of innovative solutions presented and the commitment of KIC and its partners to supporting a wide spectrum of promising agritech ventures.
