The inaugural Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa Football Competition commenced on Friday at the Beulah Anglican High School field in Ore, Odigbo Local Government Area, Ondo State. This maiden edition of the competition, aimed at fostering youth development through sports, saw the participation of thirty teams drawn from across the Ondo South Senatorial District. The competition’s kickoff ceremony was attended by dignitaries including the Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Taiwo Adegoroye, and the competition’s sponsor, Monday Alade, a prominent figure in the All Progressives Congress (APC). The event marked the beginning of what promises to be a vibrant display of football talent and community engagement.

The Chairman of Odigbo Local Government, Taiwo Adegoroye, lauded the initiative for its alignment with the state government’s agenda on youth and sports development.
