During a State Executive Council Ministerial Briefing and End-of-Year Review, themed “Showcasing Achievements: Signposting the Future,” held at the Government House Banquet Hall in Uyo, Governor Eno addressed concerns regarding the utilization of state funds, emphasizing his role as a trustee of public resources and his dedication to serving the interests of the Akwa Ibom people.
The governor unequivocally dismissed claims of personal wealth accumulation, clarifying that the funds under his control belong to the state and are to be utilized for the benefit of all citizens. He underscored his commitment to allocating resources based on the needs of the majority, rather than succumbing to individual pressures or demands. Governor Eno stressed his accountability to the people of Akwa Ibom, vowing not to misuse state resources for personal gain or superficial displays of power.
