The 18th matriculation ceremony of Tansian University, held on Saturday in Umunya, Anambra State, marked a significant milestone for the incoming students of the 2024/2025 academic session. The event, which commenced with a Holy Mass and procession, culminated in the administration of the oath of allegiance to the newly admitted students. Professor Eugene Nwadialor, the Vice-Chancellor, delivered a compelling address centered on the crucial role of parental involvement in the holistic development of students pursuing higher education. He underscored the importance of a collaborative approach between parents and the university, emphasizing open communication and shared responsibility in nurturing students’ character and academic growth.

He emphasized the mandatory 75% attendance requirement for eligibility to participate in examinations, urging students to prioritize their academic commitments. Furthermore, he addressed the importance of maintaining appropriate dress codes and adhering to the university’s regulations against cultism and substance abuse. He firmly stated that any violation of these established rules could result in expulsion, emphasizing the university’s commitment to maintaining a disciplined and conducive learning environment.
