The Clement Kubindiwo Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) in Navrongo, Ghana, has achieved a significant milestone with the professional accreditation of its Bachelor of Science (BSc) program in Midwifery. This new program adds to the university’s growing portfolio of health science offerings, following the recent accreditation of BSc programs in General Nursing, Pediatrics Nursing, and Medical Laboratory Science in the previous academic year. The university’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Albert Luguterah, announced this achievement during the 2024/2025 matriculation ceremony, highlighting CKT-UTAS’s commitment to providing quality and accredited programs that meet industry standards and contribute to national development. The accreditation process, guided by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), ensures that all programs offered by the university meet rigorous quality benchmarks and adhere to established educational standards.

The matriculation ceremony welcomed a new cohort of students for the 2024/2025 academic year. From a pool of 2,758 applicants for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs, 1,891 candidates received offers of admission. Of those offered admission, 1,389 accepted, with 1,081 enrolling as undergraduates and 308 as postgraduates. This robust admission cycle reflects the growing interest in CKT-UTAS and its expanding academic programs.
