Potential drivers undergo thorough background checks, including verification of their guarantors. A comprehensive medical evaluation is mandatory, encompassing vision screening, blood pressure checks, body mass index (BMI) assessment, random blood sugar tests, and drug and alcohol screening. This rigorous screening process, which includes substance use detection within a three-month window, ensures that only qualified and responsible individuals are entrusted with operating Dangote Group vehicles. Moreover, a two-week intensive training program, comprising twelve safety modules, practical driving assessments, and written examinations, is mandatory for all prospective drivers. In the past two months alone, over 500 prospective drivers have successfully completed this comprehensive process, highlighting the scale and seriousness of Dangote Cement’s commitment.
