The standout winner of DI-Hack 2024 was Team Codecraft Mavericks, who developed an AI-powered assistive technology aimed specifically at visually impaired individuals. Their groundbreaking solution is equipped with a host of features, including text extraction, object detection, navigation assistance, virtual help, and companionship. This comprehensive tool exemplifies how technology can be harnessed to significantly enhance mobility and independence for visually impaired users. The event also celebrated remarkable contributions from other teams, with HandWave and Soronko taking the first and second runner-up positions, respectively.
