The All Progressives Congress (APC) caucus in Ekiti State has thrown its weight behind President Bola Tinubu and Governor Biodun Oyebanji for re-election, citing their exceptional leadership and impactful governance. The endorsement motions, presented during a caucus meeting in Iyin Ekiti, highlighted the significant strides made by both leaders in their respective roles. Senator Yemi Adaramodu, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Media and Publicity, championed Tinubu’s endorsement, emphasizing the President’s decisive economic reforms and security strategies. Speaker of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, Adeoye Aribasoye, led the charge for Oyebanji’s re-election, pointing to the governor’s commitment to the welfare of the Ekiti people and the state’s overall development.
Senator Adaramodu lauded President Tinubu’s “transformational” reforms, arguing that they have revitalized the nation’s economy and addressed the root causes of insecurity. He expressed confidence in Tinubu’s continued leadership, proposing that the “Renewed Hope Agenda” should be further renewed in the 2027 presidential election. Dismissing concerns about political maneuvering outside the APC, Adaramodu maintained that the party remains unfazed by opposition tactics, viewing them as predictable political posturing. The senator’s strong endorsement reflects the belief within the Ekiti APC caucus that Tinubu’s leadership is crucial for the country’s continued progress.
Speaker Aribasoye’s endorsement of Governor Oyebanji centered on the governor’s demonstrable leadership qualities, including integrity, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the people of Ekiti State. He highlighted Oyebanji’s achievements in infrastructure development, enhanced security, improved healthcare and education outcomes, and the overall socio-economic growth of the state. Sola Elesin, the State APC Chairman, echoed the sentiments of the caucus, praising Governor Oyebanji’s inclusive approach to governance.
