A vibrant group of around 50 Ghanaians, consisting of media professionals, entrepreneurs, and tourists, recently arrived in Dubai to greet the Wanderlust Ghana team during a pivotal stop on their ambitious 30,000-kilometer journey across 30 countries. This journey follows their earlier successful road trip from Accra to London in 2023. Organized by the G10 Travel Companies, this visit presents a thrilling opportunity for Ghanaians to engage with the Wanderlust Ghana team. The G10 consortium is comprised of leading travel companies like Travel Planners Ghana, Eves Travelcation, and Adbel Travels, with the goal of promoting tourism and cultural exchange through this initiative.

The Wanderlust Ghana team has garnered a reputation for its adventurous spirit, making significant stops along their journey, with Dubai being one of the highlights. From October 6–12, 2024, participants will have the pleasure of enjoying an exhilarating array of experiences such as desert dune bashing and a glamorous all-white party on a yacht. These activities are designed to foster connections among Ghanaians in Dubai, creating an atmosphere of camaraderie and engagement. This visit serves to celebrate Ghanaian culture while providing participants with cherished memories and unique adventures in one of the world’s most dynamic cities.

Following their exhilarating time in Dubai, the Wanderlust Ghana expedition will continue to South Africa for a six-night experience from November 7-14, 2024. This leg of the journey promises participants the chance to explore iconic landmarks including Soweto, Robben Island, and Table Mountain. The immersive experience will culminate in a grand event where attendees can connect and celebrate with the Wanderlust team, further emphasizing the cultural exchange underpinning this initiative. Each destination on this journey highlights a commitment to showcasing diverse cultures and enriching the travel experience of every participant.

For those who cannot attend the events in Dubai and South Africa, an alternative meet-up is set to take place in Benin, providing a unique opportunity for more Ghanaians to connect with the team. This inclusivity reflects Wanderlust Ghana’s mission and ambition of not only inspiring Ghanaians to travel but also nurturing intercultural connections that enhance Ghana’s global presence. Mercy Akaliga, a representative from the G10 consortium, emphasized the importance of this initiative by stating, “Wanderlust Ghana is doing a lot for the country, and their ‘Visit Ghana’ tagline is helping promote tourism.”

The goal of Wanderlust Ghana’s expedition extends beyond mere travel; it aims to strengthen cultural ties while promoting Ghana as a premier tourist destination. The collaboration with the G10 Travel Companies ensures that the experience is accessible and engaging for those who are keen on making lasting memories while supporting tourism growth in Ghana. This synergy between travel and cultural exchange is vital, as it positions Ghana on the global travel map and invigorates its economy through increased tourist interest and engagement.

The G10 consortium includes a variety of prominent travel companies, each bringing their unique expertise to the table. Members include Travel Planners Ghana, Eves Travelcation, Adbel Travels, Carefront Travel and Tour, and others, all working together to support Wanderlust Ghana’s mission. By facilitating these events, the consortium not only celebrates Ghanaian culture but also builds a strong foundation for future tourism growth, creating pathways for Ghanaians to explore the world while highlighting the richness and diversity of their homeland. Together, they are committed to the shared vision of elevating Ghana as a premier travel destination through adventure, connection, and cultural appreciation.
