The Nigerian Association of Energy Correspondents (NAEC) is set to host the Annual NAEC Energy Conference 2025 in Lagos on October 9, 2025. This pivotal event will bring together a distinguished assembly of ministers, regulators, industry leaders, and stakeholders from across the Nigerian energy sector, spanning oil, gas, and power. The conference aims to foster robust dialogue and collaboration on crucial issues shaping Nigeria’s energy future, with a particular focus on opportunities, risks, and strategies for sustainable growth. The theme, ‘Nigeria’s Energy Future: Exploring Opportunities and Addressing Risks for Sustainable Growth’, underscores the conference’s commitment to charting a path towards a more resilient and prosperous energy landscape for the nation.

The conference boasts an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, including high-ranking government officials and industry captains. Heineken Lokpobiri, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil); Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas); and Adebayo Adelabu, Minister of Power, will provide valuable insights from a policy perspective. Representing regulatory bodies, Gbenga Komolafe, Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, and Farouk Ahmed, Chief Executive of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, will share their perspectives on fostering a stable and efficient regulatory environment. Bayo Ojulari, Group Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, will offer insights from the national oil company’s perspective.

The upstream growth session will delve into strategies for boosting oil and gas production, leveraging technological advancements, and attracting investments.
