Abdullahi Ahmed, the House of Representatives member representing Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency in Katsina State, has spearheaded a significant initiative to address the pervasive challenge of water scarcity in his constituency. Recognizing access to clean water as a fundamental right and a catalyst for socio-economic development, Ahmed has overseen the construction of 71 solar-powered boreholes strategically distributed across Musawa and Matazu local government areas. Each of the 11 political wards in Musawa local government area received three boreholes, while the local government headquarters benefited from an additional four, totaling 37 boreholes within Musawa. Similarly, Matazu local government area witnessed the construction of three boreholes in each of its 10 wards, complemented by four more at its headquarters, bringing the total number of boreholes across the constituency to 71.
