Professor Kingsley Nyarko, the Member of Parliament representing Kwadaso Constituency, has made a fervent appeal to President John Dramani Mahama to prioritize the completion of the Agenda 111 hospital projects. He emphasizes that these projects constitute a crucial step towards realizing substantial improvements in healthcare delivery across Ghana. According to Professor Nyarko, finishing these vital healthcare infrastructure initiatives would drastically expand access to quality medical services for the populace. He argues that completing these projects would serve as a testament to President Mahama’s commitment to bolstering Ghana’s healthcare sector, demonstrating a tangible concern for the health and well-being of the nation.

Professor Nyarko, a member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), further levelled criticism at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) administration, accusing them of a lack of demonstrable commitment to continuing the Agenda 111 projects. He underscored the principle of continuity in governance, emphasizing that successive administrations bear a responsibility to carry forward projects that demonstrably benefit the citizenry. This continuity, he argues, transcends partisan politics and serves the greater good of the nation by ensuring the effective utilization of public resources and the consistent advancement of development initiatives. The completion of these projects, he implies, is not merely a political agenda but a national imperative, a responsibility that transcends party affiliations.

Reinforcing his commitment to improving healthcare within his constituency, Professor Nyarko, on April 17, 2025, made a significant donation of medical equipment and supplies valued at over GH¢100,000 to the Kwadaso Municipal Health Directorate. This contribution included essential items such as refrigerators, laptops, and office furniture, all destined for distribution to various health facilities within the municipality. The donation will benefit institutions like Atwima Takyiman Health Center and Nwamase Health Center, bolstering their capacity to provide efficient and effective healthcare services. This donation, he explained, is part of a broader strategy to enhance the quality and accessibility of healthcare within his constituency, reflecting his ongoing dedication to the welfare of his constituents.

This donation to the Kwadaso Municipal Health Directorate exemplifies Professor Nyarko’s commitment to collaborating with various stakeholders to improve the overall wellbeing of his constituents. By providing essential resources, he aims to empower local health facilities to deliver improved services, contributing to a healthier and more prosperous community. This act underscores his belief in a participatory approach to development, where collaborative efforts between elected officials, community leaders, and healthcare professionals can create a tangible positive impact on the lives of ordinary citizens.

The Municipal Health Director, Grace Billie Kampitib, expressed sincere gratitude for Professor Nyarko’s donation, highlighting its crucial role in strengthening healthcare services within the Kwadaso Municipality. She specifically noted the practical benefits of the donated items, explaining that the laptops would significantly enhance data management capabilities while the refrigerators would ensure the proper storage of vital medical supplies, including vaccines. She further emphasized that this contribution was not an isolated incident but rather part of a pattern of consistent and impactful support that Professor Nyarko has provided to various institutions within his constituency, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to community development.

This instance of contributing to the health sector is not an isolated event in Professor Nyarko’s track record of supporting his constituency. His past contributions further illustrate his ongoing commitment to the development and betterment of his constituency. In 2023, he provided vital ICT equipment to Asuoyeboah M/A JHS and Ohwimase Anglican JHS, aiming to promote digital literacy and enhance educational opportunities for students. Earlier, in 2021, he donated streetlights, hand sanitizers, and face masks to the Akenten Appiah-Menka University of Skills Training and Entrepreneurial Development (AAMUSTED), demonstrating a commitment to public safety and health within the university community. These various contributions showcase his consistent engagement in improving various sectors within his constituency, reflecting a holistic approach to development that encompasses education, public health, and community infrastructure.
