While en route to the games, a delegation of Lagos State officials was involved in a road traffic accident along the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway. Thankfully, no fatalities were recorded, although several officials sustained injuries. Prompt medical attention was provided, and while most have been discharged, two officials remain hospitalized and are receiving ongoing treatment. Despite this unfortunate incident, the spirit of Team Lagos remains undeterred, with the team’s general captain expressing confidence in their athletes’ ability to perform at their peak and bring glory to the state.
