Momentum is rising in Liberia as preparations intensify for the upcoming visit of Pastor Dr. W.F. Kumuyi, the esteemed founder and general overseer of Nigeria’s Deeper Life Ministry. The apostolic encounter, known as GCK LIBERIA 2024-Global Crusade, is set to take place from November 28 to December 3, 2024, at the Samuel Kanyon Doe Sports Complex located in Paynesville, just outside of Monrovia. This event follows a series of impactful visits by prominent Christian leaders to Liberia, stirring anticipation among the nation’s spiritual community. Dr. Kumuyi, often referred to as the “Prince of all Preachers,” brings with him a wealth of experience and a reputation for transformative crusades across various nations.

The Deeper Life Ministry, founded in Nigeria in 1973, has since gained a worldwide presence and is dedicated to preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Bishop Sam B. Oroge, the media consultant for the event, confidently asserts that the upcoming crusade will usher in a powerful manifestation of God’s presence in Liberia. He envisions a significant spiritual awakening for the capital city and its residents, describing it as an opportunity for deliverance and empowerment. The expectation among local church leaders is that Dr. Kumuyi’s visit will serve as a prophetic moment that aligns the nation’s spiritual atmosphere with divine intervention, promoting hope and revival.

Under the guidance of National Overseer Pastor Saoji Ajayi-Albert and the leadership of Archbishop Isaac S. Winker, a solid mobilization team has been working to ensure the success of the crusade. The campaign is particularly focused on reaching the unsaved and those who seek a deeper relationship with God. The theme of the event, “THE GREAT ESCAPE IN THE NAME OF JESUS,” highlights the intent to rescue individuals from the challenges and evils of modern life through the acceptance of Jesus Christ. Bishop Oroge emphasizes that it is a time for people to experience the love of God and the miracles associated with Dr. Kumuyi’s ministry, which will provide tangible experiences of healing and freedom.

Additionally, the crusade is designed to cater to various demographics, especially the youth. Pastor Kumuyi will host an IMPACT program to engage and inspire young people, as he aims to impart grace and guidance to the next generation. His concern extends to church leaders, for whom a special ministers’ conference is planned. This focus on spiritual empowerment for both youth and church leaders reflects a broader strategy to foster growth within Liberia’s religious community. Pastor Soji reinforces this sentiment, urging ministers to participate, as this event represents a unique opportunity for elevating their ministries and impact.

The preparations have been met with enthusiastic participation from the local community. Mobilization efforts have reached at least 13 districts within Montserrado County, generating excitement and commitments from numerous churches to support the crusade. The strong turnout in these districts demonstrates a collective eagerness to experience the life-changing impact of Dr. Kumuyi’s ministry. There is also a visionary plan to extend the reach of the crusade to the Leeward counties through the use of satellite technology, allowing even more people to engage with the event, heightening its significance as a national revival.

A unique aspect of the GCK LIBERIA 2024-Global Crusade is the provision of free medical services for attendees—an initiative that underscores Dr. Kumuyi’s objective of giving back to the community rather than seeking financial gain. This comprehensive approach reflects his distinctive ministry style and dedication to serving others. As anticipation builds for this life-changing event, the church in Liberia is poised to welcome Dr. Kumuyi, hopeful for a powerful demonstration of God’s love and miraculous deeds that could transform lives and the spiritual landscape of the nation. The event promises to be a milestone in the spiritual quest of many Liberians, aiming to collectively embrace the message of salvation and hope offered through Jesus Christ.
