The Fundraising Committee, chaired by Funke Egbemode, former President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, is mandated with securing the financial resources necessary to support IPI Nigeria’s operations and initiatives. With Yusuf Alli of The Nation newspaper serving as secretary, the committee comprises a mix of influential figures, including the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, and former presidential media aide, Garba Shehu. The inclusion of seasoned media veterans like Ken Ugbechie, Victoria Ibanga, and Olufunke Fadugba further strengthens the committee’s capacity to mobilize resources effectively. The committee includes a diverse group of journalists and academics, including Danlami Nmodu, David Ajikobi of Africa Check, and Fred Ohwahwa, a former editor at The Guardian.
