The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has initiated the registration process for supplementary delegates who will participate in the upcoming presidential primary slated for January 31, 2026. This registration exercise, commencing on August 26, 2024, is a direct consequence of a resolution passed during the party’s National Annual Delegates Conference held in Accra on July 19, 2024. This expansion of the voter register aims to incorporate new categories of party members, encompassing officials, elders, and patrons who meet the eligibility criteria outlined in Article 13 of the NPP constitution. Additionally, leaders and patrons of the Tertiary Students Confederacy (TESCON), representing the youth wing of the party, contribute the dynamism and perspectives of the next generation of NPP leaders.
