The Member of Parliament for Nsuta Kwaman Beposo, Hon. Adelaide Yaa Agyeiwaa Ntim, has made a notable contribution to healthcare in her constituency by donating a brand-new ambulance to the Sekyere Kwaman Ambulance Center. During a presentation event held on a Monday, Hon. Ntim, who concurrently acts as Deputy Minister of Health, articulated the significant role this ambulance will play in ameliorating emergency healthcare services in the area. She highlighted that the new vehicle will enhance the existing healthcare infrastructure, complementing an ambulance previously provided by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, thus bolstering the region’s ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergencies.

In her remarks, Hon. Ntim emphasized the life-saving potential of the ambulance, particularly within an emergency context where timely medical assistance can make a substantial difference. She expressed her commendation for the efforts made by the Ghana Health Service (GHS), recognizing their contributions that facilitated this donation. Moreover, Ntim expressed her gratitude towards the administration led by President Akufo-Addo, crediting her position as Deputy Minister for her capacity to bring vital support and resources to her constituents.

The deputy minister also took the opportunity to reflect on the broader achievements of the NPP government in the health sector, citing improvements and advancements made under their governance. As she urged constituents to continue their support for the NPP, she appealed for their votes to ensure re-election, asserting that their backing is crucial for continued progress. Hon. Ntim passionately encouraged the voters to support Dr. Bawumia in the upcoming presidential elections, suggesting that his leadership would lead to accelerated development not just in the constituency but throughout the region.

Upon receiving the ambulance, Mr. Alalinga Mathew, the Ashanti Regional Deputy Director of the Ghana Ambulance Service, expressed deep appreciation for the timely donation. He acknowledged the critical gap that this new ambulance fills in the region’s emergency response capabilities, reinforcing the importance of having adequate resources in place to save lives amidst medical crises. Mr. Mathew assured Hon. Ntim and the public that the ambulance would be maintained in excellent condition, thus ensuring its operational efficiency when required.

This donation is a significant indication of the NPP government’s ongoing commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure and services across Ghana. It illustrates a proactive approach to addressing the healthcare needs in the constituency, particularly in emergency situations where every second counts. The collaboration between government officials, healthcare service providers, and the community showcases the collective effort towards improving health outcomes for the populace.

Overall, Hon. Ntim’s donation serves as both a tangible improvement in healthcare resources and a strategic move to galvanize political support for the NPP ahead of upcoming elections. The initiative reflects wider government objectives of ensuring that healthcare delivery continues to evolve and meet the needs of citizens, thereby fostering a healthier population and community resilience in the face of health emergencies. Such initiatives underscore the essential role of political leadership in driving meaningful change in public health sectors and enhancing overall quality of life for constituents.
