The Progressive Alliance Party (PAP), a student-led political party formed under the University of Media, Arts and Communication’s (UniMAC) Political Communication course, has officially launched its platform, centered around social and economic justice for all Ghanaians. The party’s foundation rests upon the principles of social democracy, advocating for inclusive development that provides equitable access to education, healthcare, economic opportunities, and environmental sustainability. The launch event served as a platform to introduce the party’s vision, leadership, and commitment to dismantling systemic inequalities that have historically marginalized segments of the Ghanaian population. PAP intends to challenge the existing political landscape, which they perceive as plagued by self-serving leadership, corruption, and a lack of accountability, and offer a fresh perspective on governance focused on the needs of the people.
