The inaugural community awareness event took place at the Madina Lorry Park, which is known for its hustle and bustle with market activities. During the event, Puma Energy distributed educational leaflets and facilitated discussions about LPG safety. They also recognized and rewarded key food vendors with essential cooking equipment, including stoves, gas lighters, aprons, T-shirts, and tablecloths, aiming to improve their businesses while advocating for cleaner energy solutions. The CRM initiative, launched by the National Petroleum Authority alongside the Ministry of Energy, focuses on a streamlined LPG distribution system that allows users to exchange empty cylinders for filled ones at designated centers. This model supports the government’s ambition to transition from environmentally harmful cooking methods to safer, more accessible LPG solutions, with a target of reaching 50% usage by 2030.

At the Madina Lorry Park event, approximately 100 new cylinders were efficiently exchanged, marking the success of the CRM in providing a reliable means of obtaining LPG. Looking ahead, Puma Energy plans to continue these community engagement sessions, scheduling more events for October and December to reach various market centers nationwide.
