Prior to this initiative, children in the community faced the arduous task of traveling long distances to access JHS education. The establishment of the local JHS alleviated this burden, enabling students to pursue their education within their community and eliminating the challenges associated with long commutes. The Hon. Bernard Tenuo, the School Improvement Support Officer (SISO) for the Fenaso-Fawoman Circuit at the Amansie Central Education Directorate, expressed his enthusiasm for the robotics center, emphasizing its potential to ignite students’ interest in technological innovation and cultivate their problem-solving skills. Despite the positive strides made with the establishment of the research center, Tenuo acknowledged the persistent challenge of teacher shortages at the school. This shortage hinders the school’s ability to effectively utilize the new facilities and provide students with optimal learning experiences. While the new resources offer immense potential, their impact is contingent on having adequate staffing to guide and support student learning.
