Empowering Nigerian Youth Through Free Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Education
In a bid to unlock financial independence for young Nigerians, Hanu Fejiro, a prominent Nigerian tech innovator, has spearheaded a free training program centered around cryptocurrency, blockchain technology, and decentralized finance (DeFi). Leveraging the accessibility of Telegram, the initiative provides a cost-free learning platform, offering participants the chance to acquire knowledge, engage with the community, and earn practical experience within the dynamic digital finance landscape. The inaugural cohort, comprising over 300 individuals from training sessions held in March 2024 and February 2025, is slated to complete the program by the end of March 2025. Fejiro’s vision extends beyond mere skill acquisition; it aims to empower a million individuals within his lifetime, equipping them to thrive amidst the global digital transformation and forge pathways to financial self-sufficiency.
The program’s comprehensive curriculum encompasses foundational concepts of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology, emphasizing the crucial aspects of security and responsible usage within the crypto sphere. It delves into real-world applications of these technologies across various industries, providing participants with a holistic understanding of their potential impact. Iyanuoluwa, a participant in the program, attested to the program’s impact on her understanding of digital currencies and blockchain, expressing newfound confidence to explore the opportunities within this dynamic space. Another participant, Kareem, lauded the program for equipping him with effective strategies to identify promising airdrops and actively engage within the crypto ecosystem, describing the training as incredibly productive and exceeding his expectations. Godwin, yet another participant, highlighted the practical benefits of the program, citing newfound knowledge on identifying potential income streams by observing top traders’ wallets, verifying airdrops, and avoiding scams.
Beyond technical knowledge, the program emphasizes the importance of responsible participation in the crypto space. Participants are educated on the risks associated with crypto investments, including the volatility of the market and the potential for scams.
