Brit Properties Celebrates 15 Years with a Focus on Fitness, Community, and Social Impact

Brit Properties, a subsidiary of Brit Holdings, is commemorating its 15th anniversary with a multifaceted celebration centered around fitness, community engagement, and social impact. The centerpiece of this milestone event is the Brit Mini-Marathon, a 20-kilometer race designed to promote physical well-being and foster a sense of unity among participants while simultaneously giving back to the community. The race, which begins in Ajah, winds through Ogombo Road and Monastery Road before culminating at ShopRite, Novare Mall, in Sangotedo. Both male and female runners will compete for substantial cash prizes: N1,000,000 for first place, N500,000 for second place, and N250,000 for third place in each category. Beyond the marathon itself, the event promises a vibrant atmosphere filled with various sporting activities, including fitness challenges, heavy lifting competitions, and push-and-pull contests, ensuring an engaging experience for all attendees.

Adding a significant layer of social responsibility to the festivities is a dedicated CSR initiative. Taking place under the Ajah bridge, this initiative will provide meals and free medical interventions to 1,000 individuals, underscoring Brit Properties’ commitment to community well-being. To further prioritize participant health and safety, medical support will also be readily available at the Novare Mall finish line, ensuring prompt attention to any medical needs that may arise. This dual approach to community health, addressing both preventative and immediate needs, highlights the company’s dedication to making a tangible difference in the lives of those it serves.

The driving force behind this impactful celebration stems from Brit Properties’ desire to make a meaningful contribution to society. Dr. Bright Chimezie, Managing Director of Brit Properties, explained that while the company regularly supports schoolchildren, the idea of a mini-marathon coupled with community outreach stood out due to its potential for positive engagement, particularly among young people. He believes the event will not only promote physical well-being but also inspire positive change within the community. This focus on youth engagement speaks to Brit Properties’ long-term vision of investing in the future and fostering a healthier, more active generation.

Josephine Arowele, National Sales Manager at Brit Properties, emphasized the company’s mission of addressing the fundamental human needs of food, clothing, and shelter, recognizing their direct impact on quality of life. She highlighted Brit Properties’ commitment to affordability, offering accessible land ownership options with flexible payment plans designed to cater to diverse income levels, including the middle class, lower class, and even children through the Brit Young Landlord programme. This inclusive approach reflects the company’s belief in empowering individuals from all walks of life to achieve their dreams of property ownership, regardless of their financial background.

Blessing Nwafor, Chairperson of the Organising Committee, underscored the dual purpose of the Mini Marathon: encouraging physical fitness and raising awareness within the community. She stressed that Brit Properties views itself not just as a real estate company but as a partner in people’s journeys, genuinely invested in their overall well-being. This partnership approach extends beyond the realm of property transactions, embracing a holistic view of community development that includes promoting healthy lifestyles and fostering a sense of collective responsibility.

Lawal Graham, CEO of Fitness Religion Company and a key member of the organizing team, articulated the shared vision behind the Brit Mini Marathon: to foster community engagement and make a lasting positive impact in the areas where the company operates. This collaborative spirit, bringing together different organizations with a shared commitment to community well-being, reinforces the message that positive change requires collective effort and partnerships. The Brit Mini Marathon thus serves as a testament to the power of shared vision and collaborative action in creating a more vibrant and thriving community.
