Bresson AS Nigeria Limited, a leading player in the energy sector, has taken a monumental step toward enhancing the electricity supply in Magboro, Ogun State, by signing a Power Purchase Agreement valued at N180 billion with the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC). This landmark agreement, finalized on a Monday in Lagos, aims to deliver 24-hour electricity to residents, signifying a substantial development in addressing the energy needs of the region. The partnership between Bresson’s Magboro Power Company Limited and IBEDC is centered around deploying a 30-megawatt power supply in Magboro, marking the initial phase of an ambitious 90-megawatt project. Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim, Chief Executive Officer of Bresson Nigeria, highlighted the project’s potential impact, clarifying that the people of Magboro can expect reliable access to electricity at competitive rates. Founded in 2005, Bresson operates a gas-fired power plant with a capacity of 90 megawatts in Magboro, indicating a strong commitment to transforming the region’s energy landscape.

Olawepo-Hashim pointed out that there is an increasing interest from various stakeholders eager to collaborate on this venture.
