Escalating Violence and Government Response in Plateau State

They called for immediate and decisive action, stressing the need for security agencies to arrest and prosecute those responsible. The association also urged the international community to acknowledge the ongoing violence in Plateau and Nigeria’s Middle Belt as a humanitarian and human rights crisis, demanding a serious response. They further advocated for the support and safe return of displaced persons to their ancestral lands, emphasizing that the violence constitutes targeted, coordinated attacks and ethnic cleansing.
