The Tinubu Support Group (TSG) is embarking on a nationwide grassroots mobilization campaign to educate the populace on government policies and the ideological underpinnings of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. Dr. Umar Tanko-Yakasai, Director-General of the TSG, hosted the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Ideological Group (BATIG) at his Abuja residence, unveiling the group’s official handbook and urging members to leverage it as a guide in their sensitization efforts. The event underscored the TSG’s commitment to reaching every corner of the nation, highlighting the group’s national reach and the significance of their mission to disseminate information and foster understanding of the government’s agenda. Yakasai commended the group’s convener, Bamidele Atoyebi, for formalizing the President’s ideology and emphasized the importance of political education and public enlightenment as core components of the group’s mandate.
The newly launched handbook serves as a comprehensive resource for BATIG members, outlining the group’s objectives, strategies, and key focus areas. These included a ₦20 million investment in drone technology to monitor federal projects, ensuring transparency and accountability in project implementation. The group also sponsored radio jingles to reach a wider audience and donated a website to TSG to facilitate coordination among various support groups. These investments demonstrate the group’s commitment to leveraging technology and media to amplify its message and enhance its outreach efforts. Securing formal registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission further solidifies the group’s legal standing and operational framework, enabling it to function effectively within the existing legal and regulatory environment. Atoyebi urged members to utilize the handbook as a compass, guiding their engagement with communities and promoting the President’s values of public service, inclusiveness, humility, and progressive ideas.
